What did you do at your internship?
Working with In4All my job was to visit various fourth and fifth grade classrooms around the Portland area with local business partners such as LAM Research, and Nike. Visits range from STEM lessons to engaging
activities which help foster learning and change the mindsets of underrepresented students’ they may feel they have no place in science or learning. My main concerns dealt with the effectiveness of our programming and offering competent training towards business partners and other volunteers.
What is your biggest takeaway from your internship?
I want to work in schools!
How is this internship connected to your career goals and/or future aspirations?
In my internship I got a little taste of the classroom experience which was so amazing as I think about a career in education. I definitely think my internship solidified my career plans!
